Victoria Pendleton presents Go Ride grant cheque

British Olympian and FHM pin up girl*, Victoria Pendleton, recently presented Glossop Kinder Velo Youth Squad with their cheque following a recent, successful grant bid. The Youth Squad, a Go Ride club, is sponsored by Optimum-PDM and aims to provide children from all communities with fun, progressive cycling sessions. Head coach, Lee Rylands, who works with the GB squad at the velodrome in Manchester, commented “We are very pleased to receive this grant for over £6000. We will be buying bikes and a lock up unit so that our cycling coaching provision is available to all children and young people in the area.”

Staff members at Optimum-PDM are keen cyclists and follow the sport closely (MD, Nick Bowden, is also a Go Ride coach). The company is passionate about enabling young people to stay fit and experience sport, so our recent agreement to sponsor the Glossop Kinder Velo Youth Squad ticks all the boxes. Who knows, in years to come, there may even be an Optimum PDM Tour de France team – well we can dream!

*Victoria Pendleton was voted 84th sexiest woman in 2009 by FHM readers (Just demonstrating that we take our market research seriously at Optimum-PDM!).
